Bacon and sausage pizza

Dinner food with a breakfast twist!


Bacon 10 slice
Pork sausages 10
Eggs 12, beaten
Salt and ground black pepper To taste
Refrigerated crescent roll dough 2 packets (8 ounces each)
Salsa 1/2 cup
Cheddar cheese 2 cups,shredded

10 minutes to prepare, 40 minutes to cook, ready in 50 minutes

This is one of those things that might be initially dismissed as ridiculous, but hey!

Lots of people eat cold pizza from the night before anyway. If you’re going to have pizza for breakfast, why not make it fresh and delicious?

Step 1: Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2: Get a large skillet, and place it on a medium-high heat. Cook the bacon in it, for about five minutes on each side, until it’s browned.

Step 3: You can use the same skillet to cook the sausages, until they stop being pink in the middle.

Step 4: Drain as much of the grease as you can from the skillet. Now, over a medium heat, pour in the beaten eggs, and cook them until they’re scrambled. It should take about five minutes, and you can season them with the salt and pepper while you’re at it.

Step 5: Get a 9×13 inch baking dish, and roll the dough so it covers the bottom of it.

Step 6: Bake the dough for about 10 minutes, until it’s a nice golden color.

Step 7: Take the baked dough out of the oven, and spread the salsa on top of it.

Step 8: Now, it’s time to load it up with fried things! Start with the eggs, then break up the bacon, and spread that over it. Next, slice up the sausages and spread them around on top.

Step 9: Top the whole lot evenly with the Cheddar cheese

Step 10: Put it back in the oven for another 10 minutes or so, until the cheese starts to go all melty and brown.

Step 11: Let it cool for another 10 minutes before serving it up.

It’s a quite straightforward recipe, but possibly one that would lean towards brunch rather than breakfast and bright-and-early o’clock.
