Bagel and Cheese Gourmet Breakfast Sandwich

Ingredients

Eggs 12, beaten
Sharp Cheddar Cheese 1 cup
Bacon 1/2 pound, diced
Bagels 3, plain (or seasoned, as desired)
Onion 1/2 cup, chopped
Milk 2 cups
Fresh Parsley 2 teaspoons, chopped
Parmesan Cheese 1/2 cup, grated
Ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon

30 minutes to prepare, 30 minutes to cook, ready in 9 hours (next day)

This creamy and cheesy homemade gourmet breakfast sandwich in a casserole-style serving is incredibly simple to whip up and can be enjoyed the next morning. With perfect fresh seasonings, crunchy bacon, and fresh cheese, this is better than any breakfast or brunch sandwich you can buy, and lasts incredibly well for leftovers. Delicious!

Step 1: Put onion and bacon in a deep-dish skillet and cook using medium-high settings until even and brown, then drain and set

Step 2: Slice bagels (either plain or seasoned to your preferences) and place the 6 slices in a lightly greased baking dish, then cover with bacon and onion mixture and cheddar cheese

Step 3: Top with remaining bagel halves

Step 4: Using a medium bowl, mix in and stir together pepper, parsley, eggs, and milk

Step 5: Pour your egg mix over bagel layers and place in fridge overnight for at least 8 hours

Step 6: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F, and bake chilled bagels for 25-30 minutes, then top with parmesan cheese or any other seasonings to your liking

This is a dish that will impress your guests and have them asking for seconds and is worth the time to prepare (which only means popping it in the fridge overnight). Great for families, brunches, and gatherings!
