A Homemade Spin On a Favorite Treat!


Brown sugar 1cup, packed
M&M’s candy 2 1/2 cups
White sugar 1/2 cup
Vanilla extract 1 1/2 teaspoons
Baking soda 1 teaspoon
Shortening 1 cup
Eggs 2
All-purpose flour 2 1/2 cups
Salt 1 teaspoon

15 minutes to prepare, 10 minutes to cook, ready in 25 minutes

Using M&M candy, or any preferred or desired candy, this recipe is quick and simple but yields a delicious treat. The smaller sized option makes this dessert under 100 calories per serving, with boundless leftovers for days to come. This treat is sure to satisfy the family and kids!

Step 1: Combine and mix together sugar, eggs, shortening, and vanilla using a bowl of your choosing (preferably large)

Step 2: Add in and mix together flour, salt, 3/4 cup candies, and baking soda to your mixture using the same bowl

Step 3: Using a teaspoon or tablespoon (depending on desired cookie size), form balls out of mix and place evenly on cookie sheet

Step 4: Top with additional candy prior to baking

Step 5: Using 350 degree heat settings, bake cookies for approximately 9-10 minutes, until desired crunch
