Baked Ziti

Creamy, Rich Baked Ziti Using Fresh Cheese!


Ziti pasta 1 pound, dry
Onion 1, chopped
Spaghetti Sauce 2 jars (26 oz each)
Provolone cheese 6 oz, sliced
Lean ground beef 1 pound
Sour cream 1 1/2 cups
Mozzarella cheese 6 oz, shredded
Extra Virgin Olive Oil 3 tablespoons
Parmasen cheese 2 tablespoons, grated

20 minutes to prepare, 35 minutes to cook, ready in 55 minutes

This classic Italian-style baked ziti makes an excellent dinner for the family or to serve to guests at a dinner party! You may wish to supplement the meat for different cheeses or not use beef, as preferred. Savory, creamy, and rich with flavors and cheese!

Step 1: Boil large pot of salted water and add ziti, to cook for approximately 8 minutes

Step 2: Mix ground beef and onion and cook over medium heat settings using a skillet

Step 3: Add spaghetti sauce and let dish simmer for 10-15 minutes

Step 4: Butter or grease a small rectangular baking dish

Step 5: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Step 6: Begin layering dish. We recommend adding 1/2 the ziti, provolone cheese, 1/2 sauce mixture, 1/2 remainder of ziti, mozzarella cheese, and then the rest of the sauce mix

Step 7: Season with pepper and/or salt to desired level

Step 8: Using grated cheese, sprinkle over dish
