Bow Tie Pasta With Cream and Sausage

Bowtie pasta 1 12oz package
Sweet Italian sausage 1 pound, casings removed, crumbled
Red pepper flakes 1/2 teaspoon
Olive oil 2 tablespoons
Onion 1/2 cup, diced
Garlic 3 cloves, minced
Heavy cream 1 1/2 cups
Plum tomatoes 1 28oz can, drained
Fresh parsley 3 tablespoons

15 minutes to prepare, 30 minutes to cook, ready in 45 minutes

This Italian-style dish combines sweet sausage with al dente style bowtie pasta, and red pepper flakes add a touch of spice. This dish is equal parts savory and creamy, with notes of oil and cream mixed with fresh garlic and onion.

Step 1: Boil water and cook pasta for approximately 8 minutes, to be served al dente

Step 2: Heat oil using medium settings

Step 3: Cook sausage and pepper flakes until sausage is brown and evenly cooked through

Step 4: Add in garlic and onion

Step 5: Mix in tomatoes and cream, simmer for approximately 8 minutes

Step 6: Add sauce to cooked pasta and mix, top with salt and pepper to taste if desired
