Creamy Penne With Chicken & Asparagus

Light, Tasty, and Seasoned to Perfection!


Penne pasta 1 16oz package (dried
Chicken breasts 2, skinless, boneless, halved/cubed
Low Sodium Chicken Broth 1/2 cup
Olive oil 5 tablespoons, divided
Asparagus Spears 1 bunch, trimmed, cut into 1 inch pieces
Garlic powder To taste
Garlic 1 clove, thinly sliced
Salt and Pepper To Taste

15 minutes to prepare, 20 minutes to cook, ready in 35 minutes

This light but delicious Italian-style dish combines savory garlic notes with fresh chicken and asparagus. Cooked in a low-sodium broth, seasoned to perfection, and sauteed with fresh garlic cloves and powder, this is a dish that is equally parts creamy and fresh.

Step 1: Boil water and cook pasta for approximately 8 minutes, to be served al dente

Step 2: Heat oil (3 tablespoons) using medium settings, and mix in chicken, seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder

Step 3: Cook chicken until sausage is brown and evenly cooked through, for about 5 minutes, remove and set aside

Step 4: Pour chicken broth into skillet, and mix in asparagus, garlic, and a bit more garlic powder, salt, and pepper, cover and steam asparagus for about 7 minutes until tender

Step 5: Put chicken back into skillet to warm through, and stir chicken mix into pasta

Step 6: Add and stir in 2 tablespoons olive oil and sprinkle with parmesan cheese, top with salt and pepper as desired

You can whip up this fresh and perfectly seasoned dish in only 35 minutes for an easy dinner after work, and it saves well for seconds and leftovers too! Plus, with fresh chicken and veggies and great taste, there’s no going wrong here.
