German Potato Salad

Easy and healthy dinner

Ingredients

Potatoes 3 cups, diced
Bacon 4
Onion 1, diced
Vinegar 1/4 cup
White Sugar 2 tablespoons
Salt 1 teaspoon
Black Pepper To taste
Parsley 1 tablespoon
Water 2 tablespoons

20 minutes to prepare, 20 minutes to cook, ready in 40 minutes

This potato salad is made how they like to do it in Germany. It is a low-calorie meal, perfect as a healthy dinner.

Step 1: Bring the water with potatoes in a pot to boil and cook for about 10 minutes.

Step 2: Next fry the bacon in a pan over medium heat until crisp.

Step 3: Cook the onions in the pan until caramelized.

Step 4: Then add to the pan, the water, vinegar, pepper, salt and sugar.

Step 5: Bring it to boiling and add the potatoes, parsley and bacon.

Serve this dish warm or place it into the refrigerator and cool down for a cold potato salad. If you don’t mind extra calories you can add some mayo as well.
