This classic Italian dish makes an excellent dinner, of the rich and creamy variety. For a hint of spice, you may opt to add in some red pepper flakes. You may also wish to add a fresh shrimp on top. A spin on traditional mac and cheese, this dish is a treat for a family dinner.
Step 1: Salt large pot of water, bring to a boil
Step 2: Cook spaghetti for about 10 minutes to desired firmness, slightly less for an el dente style dish (check continually, stir), drain
Step 3: SUsing medium-heat settings, place and heat oil in a large skillet
Step 4: BAdd pepper and garlic, cook and stir for about 2 minutes
Step 5: LAdd spaghetti and cheese
Step 6: Ladle in 1/2 cup of reserved cooking water and stir until cheese is melted, for about 1-2 minutes
Step 7: Continue adding cooking water (for about another 1-2 minutes), until sauce completely coats spaghetti
