Trout is such a great fish, that largely gets overlooked in favor of its more popular, but similarly flavored cousin, salmon. This is a great recipe that takes a nod from sushi.
Step 1: Start by preheating your oven to 450 degrees.
Step 2: Take a baking dish, and line it with aluminum foil. Grease the foil with a little olive oil.
Step 3: Using a bowl, combine the soy sauce, olive oil, wasabi paste, garlic, oregano, and pepper.
Step 4: Now, turning to your trout fillets, cut across them diagonally, and dip them in the mixture you made in step 3, and get them all coated with it – you can just put any leftover mixture into the cuts you made in the fish.
Step 5: Put the fish fillets into the baking dish, and sprinkle them with the Cajun seasoning.
Step 6: Leave it to bake in the oven for between 7 and 9 minutes.
It’s a very easy recipe, but the mix of wasabi, soy, and garlic certainly compliments the fish.
