Reuben Sandwich

A Diner Favorite At Home!

Ingredients

Sauerkraut 1 16oz can, drained
Swiss cheese 8 slices
Pastrami 8 slices
Margarine 1/4 cup, softened
Thousand Island Dressing 3/4 cup
Rye Bread 8 slices

15 minutes to prepare, 10 minutes to cook, ready in 25 minutes

Everyones favorite diner sandwich combines pastrami with fresh swiss cheese and creamy dressing. Tangy, fresh, and savory. Those who don’t eat pastrami may wish to supplement with smoked turkey or honey turkey! Top with salt and pepper if desired.

Step 1: Add thousand island dressing to each slice of rye

Step 2: Top 4 slices with sauerkraut, cheese and pastrami

Step 3: Spread butter or margarine on outsides of each sandwich

Step 4: Heat large skillet using medium settings

Step 5: Grill until golden brown, and until cheese melts

This is an easy way to whip up a deli and diner classic sandwich at home! Fast, simple, and delicious!
