Brussels Sprouts (Gluten-Free)

A Healthy, Gluten-Free Side to Compliment Any Dish!


Brussels Sprouts 1 1/2 pounds, ends trimmed and leaves removed
Fresh Black Pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Kosher Salt 1 teaspoon
Olive Oil 3 tablespoons

15 minutes to prepare, 45 minutes to cook, ready in 1 hour

This sweet, salty, and savory dish is healthy, low-calorie, gluten-free, and delicious! It makes a lovely addition as a side to any meal, and can be saved as leftovers and eaten plain as well. Healthy choices that also taste good are sure to please even the most refined palates and picky-eaters!

Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F

Step 2: Use a large resealable plastic bag to place in trimmed Brussels sprouts, olive oil, kosher salt, and pepper, seal tightly and shake

Step 3: Pour on baking sheet

Step 4: Roast in the preheated oven on center rack for 30 to 45 minutes, shaking pan every 5 to 7 minutes to achieve even brown color

Step 5: Brussels sprouts should be darkest brown, almost black, when done

Step 6: Season with kosher salt or desired seasonings

This gluten-free healthy option is simple to make, requires very little preparation and ingredients, and has a delicious salty/sweet quality. The perfect side to a meat or fish dish!
