Fresh Homemade Garlic Hummus

Olive oil 1 tablespoon
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Ground cumin 2 teaspoons
Garlic 1 clove, crushed
Garbanzo Beans 1 15 oz can, drained (preserve liquid)

This fresh homemade hummus with the perfect amount of olive oil and garlic is not only a healthier selection than most store purchased versions you can buy, it’s a recipe you can prepare in only 5 minutes! With hints of just the right amount of garlic, it tastes great and pairs well with veggies, snacks, and crackers. Perfect for parties and gatherings, and even easier than picking it up at the grocery store!

Step 1: Use a standard blender or food processor and combine garbanzo beans, garlic, cumin, salt and olive oil

Step 2: Blend all of the ingredients using low speed settings

Step 3: Add the preserved bean liquids, gently and gradually

Step 4: Continue until desired blend is achieved with no lumps and mix is even without being watery

This is one of the fastest ways to prepare a delicious and healthy side option that can be garnished to your liking. Even picky kid eaters will love this, and it may get them to eat some extra veggies! Feel free to garnish with fresh oregano, spices, or red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
