Sun-Dried Tomato Basil Orzo

The Perfect Side For Any Picnic!


Orzo Pasta 2 cups, uncooked
Oil-packed Sun Dried Tomatoes 1/3 cup, chopped
Basil leaves 1/2 cup, chopped
Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
Parmesan Cheese 3/4 cup, grated
Lime Juice 2 tablespoons
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Pepper 1/2 teaspoon

15 minutes to prepare, 8 minutes to cook, ready in 23 minutes

This orzo recipe combines a classic side with fresh basil and sun dried tomato for added flavor. Now you can save on some of the salt with a healthy and delicious supplement!

Step 1: Boil one large pot of salted water

Step 2: Cook orzo for approximately 10 minutes, to be served el dente

Step 3: Use a food processor to thoroughly blend chopped sun dried tomatoes and basil leaves

Step 4: Mix orzo with the sun dried tomato mix

Step 5: Add pepper, salt, cheese and olive oil

It’s that simple! This a perfect food to bring to a potluck or picnic, and can be served with vegetables or as a side to a meat or seafood dish. Add any extra salt, pepper, or seasoning as desired. Can be served and enjoyed hot or cold.
