Honey peanut granola

Healthy and hearty homemade cereal!

Ingredients

Quick cooking oats 3 cups
Peanuts 1/2 cup, chopped
Wheat germ 1/4 cup
Honey 1/3 cup
Brown sugar 1/3 cup
Vegetable oil 1/4 cup
Warm water 2 tablespoons
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon

15 minutes to prepare, 1 hour to cook, ready in 1 hour and 15 minutes

It’s so easy to grab a box of Lucky Charms or Frosted Flakes from the store, but think about how much corn syrup and preservatives go into those.

As you’re about to see, it’s not difficult to make your own cereal to enjoy.

Step 1: Get your oven preheated to 250 degrees.

Step 2: Take out a baking sheet, and lightly grease it.

Step 3: Mix the oats, peanuts, and wheat germ – you’ll need a large bowl for this.

Step 4: Get another clean bowl, and mix the honey, brown sugar, vegetable oil, water, salt, and vanilla.

Step 5: When you have the ingredients from step 4 mixed really well, pour it into the oat mixture from step 3.

Step 6: Spread the entire mixture out on a cookie sheet.

Step 7: Bake it for an hour in your preheated oven, giving it a tstir every fifteen minutes.

Step 8: Get it out of the oven, and let it cool before letting anybody have any.

See? As easy as that! It’s mostly just stirring and baking. The combination of honey and brown sugar will leave a delicious smell in your kitchen!
