This is a perfect dessert or light lunch for a hot summer day. It is healthy, sweet and tasty, which the whole family will love.
Step 1: Start by adding the orange juice, lemon juice and brown sugar in a pan and bringing it to boil.
Step 2: Reduce the heat to medium to low and let it simmer for about 4-5 minutes.
Step 3: Once the sauce looks thicker, take it off the stove and mix in the vanilla extract.
Step 4: Cut the fruits and layer them in a bowl (we suggest biggest fruits in the bottom)
Step 5: When the sauce has cooled down, pour it over the fruits.
Step 6: Refrigerate the salad for about 3 hours before digging in.
If you want your kids to eat more fruits, this is a perfect way to get them to do so. It can be made in advance and served as breakfast as well and would go great with some plain yogurt.
