A Delicious and Classic Latin-American Dish!


Butter 1/2 cup, softened
Cream cheese 1 (3oz) package
All-purpose flour 1 cup, sifted
Fruit preserves 1 cup
Ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon
White sugar 1/3 cup

Step 1: Prior To Cooking (Day before): Mix and cream butter and cream cheese together until they are smoothly and evenly blended, beating in flour. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap in foil, and refrigerate overnight.

Step 2: Next day: Remove dough 30 minutes prior to cooking

Step 3: Roll dough and cut with 3 or 4 inch round cookie cutter. Place spoonfuls of jam in center of each round, moisten edges with water.

Step 4: Fold in a round shape over and press edges together carefully. Bake on sheet 15 to 20 minutes. Roll in cinnamon mixed with sugar.
