Pasta With Fresh Tomatoes and Garlic

Fresh and Savory!


Angel Hair Pasta 8 oz
Tomatoes 2 pounds
Garlic 4 cloves, crushed
Olive oil 1 tablespoon
Salt To taste
Fresh basil 1 tablespoon, chopped
Tomato paste 1 tablespoon
Ground black pepper To taste
Parmasen Cheese 1/4 cup, grated

15 minutes to prepare, 15 minutes to cook, ready in 30 minutes

This dish is simple yet delicious, and adds savory notes of fresh tomatoes to pair with garlic and basil. Top dish with parmasen cheese, and add in veggies or meat as desired. The dish calls for no heavy cream or butter, and angel hair pasta is equal parts light and rich with flavor. This can be saved and makes an excellent lunch option during the week.

Step 1: Boil water and cook pasta for approximately 8 minutes, to be served al dente

Step 2: Put tomatoes in kettle, boil after covering with cold water, pour off water and recover with cold water

Step 3: Peel tomatoes and cut into pieces

Step 4: Saute garlic using large skillet and add in tomato paste

Step 5: Add in salt, pepper and tomatoes and stir

Step 6: Simmer until pasta is ready and add basil

Step 7: Add olive oil to drained pasta and then mix into sauce

This recipe can be whipped up and served in only half an hour! Savory and fresh, a perfect addition to any picnic or potluck!
